"Playing With The Masters!"
Hello
I was wandering the other day – wondering just
what was the ‘real obstacle’ which might lie in the road signposted: “Success” -
by any definition of this destination.
And it...
Occurred to me - one mental barrier, perhaps
better said as ‘one forgotten memory’ (don’t you just love the juxtaposition of
those two words) might be the cause.
In this scenario...
I’m particularly mulling over the challenge,
the problem, the dilemma - of how to increase yearly income by a factor of at
least 5.
When it suddenly..
Struck me that – I knew at least part of the
answer
You see... when I think back to my first job –
and that’s what it was a ‘job’ – not a career so it turned out – I was earning
very little indeed.
Then as time passed inexorably by – my
earnings and income slowly but surely and just as inexorably climbed too.
Mind you...
Not simply because each birthday I received an
annual increase, oh No! As skills and knowledge and expertise rose – so did the
flow of money and reward.
And so...
The realisation realised – I had the answer.
Here goes:
If you think back over the years since you
left school and started on some form of commercial career – I’m certain you can
recall your first year’s earnings. Yes?
OK then – now go forward say 5 years or more
and remember just how much your earnings were at that point?
Now another 5 years or more and same question
– how much?
And of course you can keep doing this for more
sets of 5 years until you reach today.
This begs the question...
If your earnings over each 5 year period
increased – and by now you’re earning double or triple or quadruple or 10truple
the amount you started at – then WHY? HOW? WHAT DID YOU DO?
You see...
You know precisely how to double your income –
in fact most people know just how to do it.
The challenge is – they forget they know!
So here’s a thought to play with – if you are
in the slightest bit interested in making more money>
Sit down with pen and paper and start asking
yourself some powerful questions:
Such as:
How did I double my income last time I doubled
it?
Now this might mean taking a moment to confirm
for yourself just how much you earn now – and then going back in your mind to
the point where you were earning half today’s amount.
Then – you’ll know how you progressed from
there to now.
I’ve found in this...
Thinking process – some real revelation come
out. In fact they are only memories forgotten; mis-stored, mis-placed perhaps –
mis-filed.
But...
What a relief to find them again – so many
ideas to use
Will you take the time to do this mental
remembering of just how brilliant you are? You will!
