"Are we recognising them?"

Is it the suit they wear?

Is it the colour of their hair?

Is it the car they drive?

Is it the words they use?

Is it the values they demonstrate?

Is it the results they obtain?

Is it the places they visit?

Is it the lifestyle they embrace?

Or – is it something else?

Here’s why...

Everyone has a different ‘way’ of being recognised for who they are – true?

And yet...

Sometimes it’s easy, or at least I regrettable find it so, to judge other people by this ‘way’ simply because it doesn’t match my ‘way’.

And it isn’t until...

We look at our closest, those we really care for that we realise that their ‘way’ has so diminished in importance that we don’t even notice it anymore.

Perhaps – we might be able to do that with more of those we meet and with whom we interact or even only view.

Maybe...

I’m just getting more sensible as each day passes, perhaps a mellowing is taking place; perhaps societal views are creeping into my consciousness. Whatever it is – I find I’m more accepting of the different ‘ways’ that people choose for their personal recognition.

And so...

As the day goes about its rounds – will you look around and see what ‘way’ you’ve chosen – and see the different ‘ways’ others have too – and perhaps, like me, (if you’ve heard an echo of your own thoughts in what I’ve said) – allow people to have their own ‘way’

I will – will you?
