"Where are you?"
Hello

More
and more and more and more
I
hear the subjects of ‘goal-setting’; ‘goal-getting’;
‘goal-netting’ being discussed.
Great news!
I
like goals, I love the journeys towards them,
I
revel in their attainment and even smile at their
non-achievement if the travel was worthwhile and
enjoyable.
Cervantes: “The road is better than the Inn”
But…
There is a little-known technique oft unused by those
who aren’t in the know. It’s so simple when you know
it, so obvious to those who sport for fun.
Here
it is:
Don’t start by aiming at the eventual target (the goal)
fix your gaze, your thoughts and your actions on the
starting point of the journey.
The golfer…
Does
NOT aim at the hole. He or she aims at the point
through which the ball must START its journey towards
the hole.
Same
with personal and business goals.
Aim
at the first milestone, the first ‘interim’ target, the
intermediate objective.
Then…
Once
you ‘hit’ that mark – check you’re on track for the end
goal – and set your sights on the next intermediate goal.
As certain is sure…
These ‘steps’ along the way will see you achieve your goal.
So
simple, so ‘elementary my dear ’ so certain of
your success.
Go
on then!
