"Have you seen the signs?"

It doesn’t matter whether we’re sitting still on a jammed-up freeway; ambling down a dappled country lane; zipping through the traffic lights in the fast lane of a ‘me first’ city centre; or even walking through the patiently waiting terminal of our local airport...

No – wherever we are...

And whatever we’re doing - there are signs!

Yes...

Signs directing us to the next town; the next metropolis; the nearest underground parking cavern; or even la sortie; la salida – der ausgang!

And I wonder...

If you've ever contemplated the idea that – so many people seem to be living their lives as though the only ‘signs’ they see on their road to success – are telling them how far it is to – somewhere else!

And for sure...

Those signs are a boon for any traveller – after all life is all about avoiding stagnation and getting to where we going –

But:

Surely there must be time for marvelling at the march, wondering in the wandering – simply joying in the journey from where we are to where we’re aiming to be.

I love signs...

Especially the mental one that points at my feet and tells me: I’m here; it’s now; enjoy!

And so...

As today you start the next chapter of your sojourn of success – take a moment to STOP and enjoy the now, the here – the present. Then, refreshed and invigorated,  crack on!
