"Round and Round and Round and Round"
Hello
Just
a couple of days ago I was listening to an audio programme in the
car, it was by the famous American Presenter, Brian Tracy.
And…
As
Brian was explaining his ideas he reminded me of one I used to employ
years ago and found so success-tickling brilliant.
In fact…
I’d
even heard someone describe the mental processes of Jay Abraham
by using the word that bubbled up to my conscious mind.
It
really makes such a difference to – well almost anything and everything
and I was wondering just where and how you will use it in your life.
When…
I
was hosting the UK seminars of Jay Abraham (I did 6 of them) I heard
one of the delegates describe Jay’s thinking process as:
Iterative concentricity! Great expression – yes?
Meaning: Jay would take an idea and spin it round and round then take
it up to a different level or down to a different level – add some other
distinctions, then bring back to the original level and do it all over again.
Constantly adding extra ideas to the original method. Adding extra methods
to the first idea. Take a thought and adding layers of thoughts.
Truly fascinating to watch and hear.
Any way…
What
Brian reminded me about was: taking our major goals and rewriting them at the
start of every day. Now the way I do this is to take the essence of the goal and
write that out.
However…
What’s just brilliant is the goals keep on changing as I keep on writing – the
iterative process gets my mind working on the goal throughout the day ready for
the next iteration the following morning.
For example:
A
goal saying: I earn £x per month
Changes over time to: I enjoy earning £x per month
And
then: I enjoy earning at least £x per month
And
then: - well you have the idea
It’s
a beautiful experience and one – I urge you to try for yourself and see just how
easily and quickly your goals take on a personality, a life if you will, of
their own and how quickly they become achieved goals rather than desired goals.
Will
you at least give it a try?
You
will – I knew you would.
After all – you’re a tgiMondays Member and I wonder if you’d ever noticed:
Monday is an anagram of:
DYNAMO
Go on then...
