"What's the REAL difference"
Hello
Over the last few months I been standing and speaking far more than usual –
conferences, open seminars, in-house trainings – all over the place.
And...
In view of the current global – I’ve started many of those presentations and
speeches by trying to find out what makes the difference.
Here are...
The questions I’ve been asking the people in those audiences:
1.
In good financial times have there always
been people who made money?
2.
In good financial times have there always
been people who DIDN’T make money?
3.
In hard financial times have there always
been people who became successful?
4.
In hard financial times have there always
been people who didn’t become successful?
5.
Have there been old people who became
successful?
6.
Have there been old people who didn’t become
successful?
7.
Have there been young people who did and
young people who didn’t?
8.
Have there been people from any culture who
did and again those who didn’t?
9.
Have there been people from any religious
persuasion who did and again who didn’t?
And you know what...
To every single question, on every single occasion, at every single event – the
answer from every single person I’ve asked was a YES!
YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! And YES!
And so...
It can’t be that any of those factors can be – what makes the difference to our
success!
It can’t be...
1.
Good financial times
2.
Hard financial times
3.
Age
4.
Culture
5.
Religion
So...
It MUST be something else – true?
And I know what it is...
It’s W.H.O.
It’s a simple formula:
W
+ H = O
What + How = Outcome
Yes...
What happens PLUS how we react = the outcome we experience
Perhaps...
I
could sum it up as: attitude!
That’s what makes the REAL difference!
If things are hard - we can choose how we react
If things are good – we can choose how we react
Regardless of our age – we can choose how we react
Regardless of our culture – we can choose how we react
Whatever our religion – we can choose how we react
Whatever, whatever, whatever – we can ALWAYS choose how we react
And then...
We can choose how we - ACT!
Will you choose?
Me too
Go on then...
