"It's simple when you know!"
Hello
“I’m thinking of changing jobs” he said
“Oh really, why’s that?”
“Well” he replied; “I’m fed up working here and my friend Bill says there are
vacancies at his place and it’s a real ball working there”
“So” I replied; “The grass
is looking greener on the other side?”
“Yes” he smiled
And then...
In another conversation:
“I’m thinking of leaving him” she confided
“What – are you really? Why’s that?”
“Well; it’s not being going well for some time now and there’s this other man I
know who seems – well just so right for me. He’s fun, outgoing, likes the things
I like – you know” she continued
“So” I replied; “The grass
is looking greener on the other side?”
“Yes” she nodded
Is there a pattern...
Emerging here – I would have thought so wouldn’t you.
And yet...
A
friend of mine; she’s one of those people with green fingers, green thumbs, and
green thoughts forever germinating seeds – said:
“The grass ISN’T greener on the other
side – it’s greener where you water it!”
And perhaps...
The job-changing man – might consider sprinkling a little more fun-filled;
business-generating water on his current employment.
The man-changing woman might consider splashing a little more fun-filled;
relationship-enhancing water on her current man.
Did you ever wonder...
If the grass was greener on the other side of some fence or other – perhaps
looking longingly at what someone was having, doing, being – and then in a light
bulb moment realised for yourself the truth of the gardener’s message:
The grass ISN’T greener on the other
side – it’s greener where you water it!
And so...
Is there somewhere, someone, something in your life that’s in need of a splash
or two or you-water; perhaps a bucketful of ‘here I am’ – maybe even a long
hosing of reviving?
I’ve thought of a couple of soakings I need to give – so I’m off to to the –
well you know where.
