"Would YOU Remember?"

Just a couple of weeks ago I had to pop over to Florida
for a business meeting – and it’s a long way for just
a couple of days isn’t it?

So naturally…

I managed to squeeze one game of golf, one long business
meeting and some great meals out - into just Sunday,
Monday and Tuesday.

It was this last activity, which created an insight to be shared
with you right now.

Because…

On the Sunday evening Sharon and I, together with our client
and other colleagues went to an Italian restaurant where the
food was outstanding and the ‘name’ even more so.

Now – I don’t know about you but I think the ‘names’ of
restaurants, the ‘names’ of products, the ‘names’ of services
are just so important – for a number of reasons

1.    How easily someone remembers and recalls the name

2.    How well it describes what it ‘is’ or even better

3.    How well it describes what it ‘does’

4.    How easily it can be associated with whatever problem is trying to be solved or

5.    Whatever solution is being sought

The Italian restaurant in question in Cape Coral – situated

BEHIND a strip of shops – was packed!

Yes – packed on a Sunday evening.

Was this because…

The food was so fabulous – yes the defining factor

The service so attentive and personal – also a firm yes

And…

Because who could ever forget eating at a restaurant,
particularly an Italian restaurant run by two focused
Italian males – when the name of the restaurant is:

Two Meatballs In The Kitchen!

What!

Yep – absolutely true

Two Meatballs In The Kitchen!

And so…

I was a’thinking – are there any of your products, services,
businesses which might perhaps stand a name change to
something more memorable?

Might be worth some thinking time don’t you agree?
