"Did Alice know something?"
Hello

Just
last week I went to see the new Tim Burton offering: “Alice in Wonderland” –
strange!
Mind you…
If
it’s by Tim it’s almost certainly going to be slightly at the edge – agreed?
And
with Johnny Depp as the Mad One (brilliant casting) well – I knew it was going
to test my open-mindedness on film experiences
And you know…
It
did!
The
soundtrack – fell and rose to deafening heights (even my sons agreed!) – the
film
flittered around Carroll’s original script like a moth round faux candle
pheromones.
But nevertheless…
It
did remind me of Carroll’s insight through Alice’s voice when she uttered…
“Which road do I
take?"
"Where do you want
to go?"
"I don't know,"
Alice answered.
"Then, said the cat,
it doesn't matter.
I’m certain you…
Already know which ‘road’ I’m going to take with this – but just for the ‘say
so’ let’s saunter side-by-side for just a short spell – shall we?
Whenever I’m uncertain as to the goal I’m trying to achieve – I discover side
turnings and cul-de-sacs and dead-ends strewn along the path.
Now
– this can be a goal for writing a web page; a goal for achieving par excellence
– a target to see that BIG X on the screen above the bowling lane – in fact
anything
and everything and anywhere.
So I suppose:
The
takings from Alice’s words, the profit from the prophet Carroll was – is:
“If you don’t know where you’re going;
All the roads lead there!”
So –
a question or two is in order – agreed?
Here
we go then:
Do
you know WHERE you’re going?
Do
you know HOW to get there?
Do
you know WHO can help?
Have
you asked them?
Do
you know WHEN you’ll arrive?
I
could go on and on – but you’ve already raced ahead and round the curve
haven’t you.
I’ll
do my best to catch up another day.
For now:
Go
on then!
