"You Columbus you!"
Hello
I
love reading!
In
fact – I love writing too and sharing my ideas, my thoughts my messages and
methods (and sometimes madness) with others to help them if I can.
And not just…
Books on getting there – but books on almost anything and anywhere and anyone!
So when the latest Dan Brown hit the shelves I’d read it before the week was
out. When the latest Jeffrey Archer, or should I say Lord Archer, slipped from
his pen I was there again
soaking, as avidly as ever, his tales of daring-do.
Mind you…
Dan
Ariely’s brilliant “Predictably Irrational’ has had me coging all sorts of ideas
to test.
But
back to m’Lord and a line from “Paths of Glory” when one of the ‘came
alive in my mind’ characters, George Mallory, says he’s going, just like
Christopher Columbus,
TO WALK OFF THE MAP!
And as you might imagine…
It
got me a’wondering if I’d been a’wandering often enough of late.
Had
I unknowingly and unwittingly been keeping to the safeness of the ‘rut’? And as
Earl Nightingale so eloquently stated in his ground-breaking “Lead The Field”
audio programme:
“A rut is only a grave with the ends kicked out!”
Or
had I been bold enough to sail the seas of opportunity, perhaps strong of mind
enough to visit a new land of possibilities, even ‘off the edge of the known’ to
use a little which-craft for a short spell to determine which which could be the
next exciting adventure?
And isn’t it…
Just
so important to travel these different and less-travelled streets to stretch our
mind – to see things anew; to experience what so many take for granted and yet,
for us, makes us smile with the joy of never-before.
And so…
Will
you join me on a new journey of delight, curiouser and curiouser - to know more
wait on the sidelines.
You
will - I sense with all my being
Come
on then – the good-ship “Life” a’waits!
Go on then...
