"Is it passive or active?"
Hello

My friend Gill Fielding told me something just the other day
which finally made it clear why she’s been able to achieve so
much in her life – though she started her journey in the back
streets of London.
And
how anyone can follow along too.
She said…
“Peter, if anyone is going to be financial secure, even wealthy
– there’s one key factor they really must know and understand”
“What is it?” I asked
“Well” said Gill “It’s very simple, it’s this:”
“To be financially successful you need
to separate what
you DO WITH your time from what you DO FOR your money!”
I
didn’t quite get it the first time she said it so I asked her to say
it again – slowly. She did:
“To be financially successful you need
to separate what
you DO WITH your time
from what you DO FOR your money!”
Got it!
Now
this is a real shift for most people – certainly I was brought
up to get a ‘proper job” (I started working for Westminster Bank
before it was even National Westminster or NatWest) – and to
spend my life swapping my days for money.
That
flies in the feast of Gill’s brilliant expression doesn’t it?
Now
I know different!
I
wonder just how many people – people you and I know – really
understand this difference? Do you think most do? Probably not,
judging by how they spend their time.
Perhaps you’ll ponder on this for a moment or so – and ask yourself
the appropriate question or series of question about your financial
generation activities – and whether most or all or some of them are
of the ‘swap’ variety or if at least some of them are truly passive.
Since Gill told me…
The
words – I’ve been concentrating on creating extras streams so
I can separate what I DO WITH my time from what I DO FOR my money.
Just
gotta love her haven’t you?
Leave it with you for ponderings then – OK?
Go
on then!
