"Is that the date already?"
Hello

Don’t you just love the onward, endless, progression of time?
And yet…
People talk about Time Management despite there being no
such thing.
Time
marches, ambles, slinks and sometimes slithers on; “bye”
it whispers
Servant to no man, nor woman, nor beast! Master of none, mistress
of zero – an intangible, tangible thing of little yet substantive
feel.
Probably…
The
most important commodity you and I don’t possess – for how
could we? Possess it – that is!
One
of the important factors; I was tempted to say ‘most important’
but at the last finger touch corrected myself – one of the important
factors is just how we recognize a very important date.
It’s
the ‘sell by’ or ‘use by’ date of almost anything and everything.
Now usually…
You
and I would think of sell-by or use-by dates referring to comestible
items of food and drink. And yet there’s far more to sell-by than this.
Here’s a thought to ponder…
What, of ALL the things you do, during the course of your usual day,
week, month and years – has reached its ‘sell-by’ or ‘use-by’ or ‘stop-by’
date?
Is
it something you’ve grown out of?
Is
it something you just ‘do’ because you’ve always done it?
Is
it something you do – out of habit?
And is it time…
To
STOP! Take a fresh look – and examine your life to find those things,
or even that thing – which needs removing from your life?
And
even if you don’t remove it (or them) the very act of thinking about
their removal will see you have different feelings, including a greater
feeling of control over your life.
You know:
As
we allow life to get busier – filling our days with more – there’s a time
to reflect and decide which parts can be pared back, which can be blossomed
into our desires and which need complete elimination.
The
exercise, mental and physical is fun with a truly serious intent.
Go
on then!
